Supporters Direct extend partnership with AFL Architects

AFL Architects (AFL) has partnered with Supporters Direct to improve their offer to sports clubs.

Supporters Direct have helped more than 40 clubs into community ownership including Football League 2 clubs Portsmouth, Exeter City, Wycombe Wanderers and AFC Wimbledon. Through their consultancy SD Club Development (SDCD) they are supporting a growing number of clubs to convert to become owned by their supporter community, as well as services to help these clubs grow sustainably.

The partnership with AFL will provide significant building and architectural support to SDCD, benefiting their member clubs and clients. James Mathie, Head of SDCD commented, “Central to the success of any sports club is the facility from which it operates. Having AFL as a partner, means we can increase our offer to a club by utilising the considerable wealth and knowledge of AFL in sports facility design”

John Roberts, Sports Director for AFL said, “As a company embedded in the football industry, we look forward to working with SD to offer our technical expertise to clubs nationwide, and assisting them with the development and expansion of their facilities.”
