Supporters Direct Appoint Hilary Clifford as Interim Chief Executive

Supporters Direct (SD) is pleased to announce two key appointments.

SD can announce that Hilary Clifford has been appointed as Interim Chief Executive for the organisation. After 15 years of growth and success in representing supporter-own clubs and trusts, SD is undertaking an important governance review across its England, Wales, Scotland and European networks in order to gear up and structure the organisation for further growth.

This has been a year with a lot of change and we are continuing to adapt successfully to new challenges for the organisation, not least generating new sources of income and delivering for the Fans Fund, UEFA and the Scottish Government.

Chair of SD, Brian Burgess, said: “Hilary brings a wealth of expertise and experience to assist the board in this strategic development and has also led significant programmes of change within organisations in the UK and internationally. The board looks forward to working with her.”

SD can also announce Andrew Jenkin has been confirmed the Head of Supporters Direct Scotland. Our work in Scotland has gradually evolved over the years and this is an exciting time for us in Scotland. Andrew has been with us for three years and we look forward to continuing and growing our presence and activities in Scotland in partnership and cooperation with our key stakeholders.
