Superb Scottish Euro 2020 Content

Date: 4th June 2021

With just ten days remaining before the Scottish men’s national team take to the field in their first major tournament since 1998, the excitement is palpable!

That also means that there’s plenty of great content from independent Scottish producers out there and we are always keen to highlight the superb work of others.

First off the wonderful Pure Fitbaw team have been producing great podcasts that focus on all the teams that are playing in this summer’s Euros. It’s a brilliant way to set yourself up for this summer’s activities.

The Scottish Football Forums have been producing a number of special pods leading into the tournament. The latest one focuses on STV commentator Rory Hamilton, who will be the main voice for two of Scotland’s all important group games.

The Famous Tartan Army Magazine is out and it’s packed with tremendous stuff. Laura Brannan tells of her time as a Tartan Army foot-soldier, it’s always lovely to hear how fans first get into supporting our national team. There’s also top class interviews with the likes of Andy Roxburgh, Jim McCalliog and Stephen O’Donnell.

A lot of us have been reminiscing about France 98, the last time our men reach a major finals. Over at the Tartan Scarf, John Bleasdale has brought us all back to that super summer with his detailed look as Scotland took on then World champions Brazil, European neighbours Norway and a talented and exciting Morocco side.

The Old Firm Facts Podcast has been superb since it’s inception. The latest offering had superstar special guests in Amy MacDonald and Derek Rae. A particular highlight for me was Derek creating a piece of commentary that imagines the moment Scotland win Euro 2020! (It will surely happen!!!)

There’s also some really nice music out there that’s reflecting our pride and passion on reaching this summer’s Euros. My pick so far has been from Scott and the Eejits with ‘Whatever it takes’.

As always I am sure I will have missed some fantastic content and for that I apologise but feel free to give me a nudge on Twitter to the best of it and I’ll endeavour to push that content next time:
