SD Scotland are pleased to announce the establishment of an advisory group to assist with the Scottish Supporters Network aspect of their work. SD Scotland have been at the forefront of a range of ownership and representation issues within Scottish football, helping to establish over 30 Supporters Trusts and community owned clubs and in line with the way their role, remit and activities has evolve, wish to develop more thorough policies on a number of issues outside of these.
SD Scotland have been working to represent supporters’ views on issues beyond ownership with the Scottish FA, SPFL and Scottish Government through initiatives such as the Scottish Football Supporters Survey and through their position as the Supporters Representative on the Scottish FA Congress. With this we have a real opportunity to influence change for the betterment of supporters through the formation of such an advisory group.
With this, we’re looking to establish an advisory group for the ‘Scottish Supporters Network’ aspect of our work. The role of the group would be to develop policy on issues such as ticket pricing, ticket distribution, TV income and distribution, fixture rescheduling and safe standing among numerous other issues.
Meetings would be held quarterly and, depending on the location of advisory group members, would be held at various venues across Scotland. No dates have as yet been set, but a ‘Whens Good For You’ doodle form will be shared with those interested. If you’d be keen to volunteer with the group, please email us at sdsinfo@supporters-direct.org with a short description of why you’d like to be involved and what would make you a suitable candidate.
Please do get in touch if you have any questions or if you’re keen to be involved in the next stage of this exciting development for the organisation.
