Livingston FC in danger of falling into administration

Date: 8th December 2014

Almondvale

Livingston FC are in danger of entering administration due to a former Director’s attempts to have more than £300,000 of club assets frozen. Ged Nixon has appealed to the Court of Session in Edinburgh and if successful in attempts to have the money frozen, could send the club into administration for the third time in only ten years.

Club salaries are due to be paid on December 25th and it is believed that the club would be unable to fulfil payment if Mr Nixon is successful in having the £300,000 frozen. The players themselves are believed to have been informed of the developments.

The club have already suffered a five point deduction this season due to an admittance of breaching league rules regarding the non-payment of tax to HMRC and once again falling into administration would result in further penalties for the club currently bottom of the SPFL Championship.
