Hosted by Supporters Direct Scotland
Date: 24th March 2015
Supporters Direct Scotland were on the road again this past weekend for the latest Colours of our Scarves exhibition. This week, we were at Hampden Park, for the top of the table clash in League Two between Queens Park and Albion Rovers.
The Colours of our Scarves programme is a government-funded initiative that seeks to engage with football fans across Scotland about sectarianism and other forms of discrimination in their local communities. Visiting Hampden Park presented a unique opportunity to talk to supporters with ties all over the country, whether they followed one of the two teams on show or not.
Each event showcases the excellent work by renowned football photographer, Stuart Roy Clarke, as he captures the shared passion and emotion of football supporters, regardless of their club allegiance. Supporters are asked their views on not just sectarianism, but issues such as racism and territorialism in their local communities, and whether if the problem exists; either today or in the past.
Supporters Direct Scotland would like to thank Queens Park FC for their help and hospitality on the day and to the fans who spoke to us and engaged with the programme. To find out more about, please click here
