Chris Smith makes replica football stadiums from Lego (his version of Pittodrie has been particularly popular north of the border: brickstand.com/index.php/2015/09/10/pittodrie/), and has set up FC Brickstand – a virtual team who compete in the Diorama Conference, funded by their virtual supporters (sign up at www.fcbrickstand.com/)
We chatted to Chris to learn more about this slightly unusual hobby, and discuss the appeal of sports that don’t quite exist in the real world.
In the outro Andrew announced that Jimmy Bone, who we interviewed in Episode 24 (User-571797174 – 24-jimmy-bone) has become a patron of the ‘Africa On The Ball’ charity. Africa On The Ball changes lives through football, focusing on the advancement of education, healthcare and enterprise in deprived communities of Africa. You can learn more about the charity, and sign up as a supporter for as little as £4 per month at www.africaontheball.org
