Poll – Are penalty shoot-outs fair?

Penalties have been the preferred method of ending knock-out football matches for years. World Cups, Champions Leagues, European Championships and domestic cup competitions have all been settled from 12 yards, yet there are many who believe the system is unfair and that an alternative should be considered.
