The Facebook group ‘Scottish Football Away Fans’ are holding a protest against ticket prices in Scottish football to reduce the cost of games.
In their event page for the protest they ask “Are you a local football fan but sick of paying ‘through the roof’ prices and wonder why the stands are always empty?!?!? Well “Scottish Football Away Fans” are planning on a protest to reduce the cost of games.
They will be hosting the protest in Glasgow to show support for change. This rally will have an open invitation to all. It will take place on the 8th of October at Hampden Park.
Their page states “For this event we want as many people as possible to attend, to make banners, to spread the word to make it happen. This is going to be a planned event so if you’re interested in attending please click on the event page and tell us what you will be doing so we have an idea of numbers. More details will come in due course.”
In the past we’ve conducted research on the issue of ticket pricing within Scottish football which can be seen here.
